What is UniversityLyfe?

UniversityLyfe is a website with online Community's that reflect the local communities near major Colleges/Universities. We are similar to an online interactive magazine, with more relative content than you could imagine. News, Event Coverage, Business and Organization Photo Op Features, and a lot more information published by Organizations and Businesses locally.
 
Local Businesses can create pages and add events, photos, videos so people unfamiliar with the business can get a sneak peak - Drink, Retail and Food Specials are streamed into the Community Calendar!

Student Organizations (Sports Teams, Greeks too) and Non-Profit Organizations can create pages and share events among the "community members" whom consist of Students and anyone else! These pages also serve as member management systems which allow the Page Owner to convert fans to members thus allowing members, for examples sake - Sorority Sisters - to share documents, photos, videos, events, and also collaborate in a discussion board. The Admins/Account Owner can post bulletins - all of which the sisters can be alerted of such activity by Email and/or Text Message notifications. 

This (the organizations, places, students, and non-student users) is all connected by a social-network, similar to FaceBook and MySpace that allows everyone to follow each others activity in a - you guessed it, Activity Feed - of course only for places/people you are a fan/friend of - everything else is available in the Community Wire!

Students have added features, like they can collaborate with Classmates called Courses and tools for class projects called Work & Study Spaces (non-students can uses the Spaces feature). 

The website is very interactive and based on PHP, AJAX and JavaScript technologies (no more installing Java/Flash... HORAY!) and very interactive, so interactive that you can drag and drop events into your calendar to RSVP - then get a TEXT MESSAGE REMINDER (whenever you want of course) with the Address, Landmarks, How many people are attending (up-to-the-minute) and what to bring/not to bring. Almost everything is connected through similar Email and Text Message notifications - so you won't be late to events.

To top this all off we provide Event Coverage by sending (at NO cost) photographers to any events (big or small) related to the college-lifestyle providing a visual history for future Alumni, and visual insight for potential future Students. This includes bars, clubs, greek socials, formals, sporting events, concerts and other live entertainment, and much much more!
